One of the sets of tools vital to SOC operations is Security Information and Event Management, or SIEM, software, which is used to detect cyber threats and respond to security breaches. While continually monitoring a client’s IT systems, SIEM collects and analyzes data and raises a red flag if anything unusual pops up. It’s then left to the SOC team to determine the nature of the incident and follow through with an action plan. SOC and SIEM combined provides a client with round-the-clock vigilance.
